The metal earring posts are embedded in the berries so there is no risk of detachment. There are 2 options for the metal:

1) Stainless Steel - Posts and backs (butterfly earnuts) are high quality 316 stainless steel (surgical stainless steel).
2) 925 Sterling Silver - Posts and backs (bullet earnuts) are both silver.

A set of silicon backs is also included with each pair of earrings.
